Hi there! An in-game friend told me about your guild and recommended I inquire about joining. I came to Moon Guard for the sole purpose of finding fellow roleplayers. Sadly, in the months it has taken me to get to 71, I haven't roleplayed a single time. The few opportunities I've had turned out to be ERP - which completely turned me off. I could have left back when I was lvl 10, but I kept hearing promises of GOOD roleplay, so I stayed and waited. Someone I met early on, a rogue named Raliyus, recommended that once I reach 70 I should apply to your guild... but I have absolutely zero experience roleplaying in WoW. I used to roleplay for years with a group of RL friends. I've GM'ed many of my own games, so I have experience roleplaying in general. So after aaaaall that, my question is, would I still be welcome? I'm eager to finally find a solid group of friends and roleplayers in an active guild. I have a backstory and character built, I just need an opportunity to use them. Thank you!

Hey! Welcome! First of all, we have roleplayers of all experience levels. You have good spelling and grammar, which is a huge start! (If only I were kidding...) WoWwiki (www.wowwiki.com) can be a great resource for lore information, just remember that it's written by players and so information can occasionally conflict. Would you tell us more about your character so we know if it's one that would fit with our theme? We're ICly a Light-following church, so we do ask that member characters are either faithful to the Light already or interested in learning more about it.

Thank you for replying. I wrote up a little blurb about Estel and her background - which I will post below. In short, she is a Holy Paladin of the Light and has vowed to use her powers to protect and preserve life. Killing does not come easy for her, even when it is necessary. Personally, I am a new learner as far as the lore in WoW. To make up for my own lack of knowledge - Estel is an orphan and a rather sheltered childhood - so her experience is limited. (I do go out of my why to research Lore on WoWWiki and some of the other sites. Everytime I find something fascinating in game, I immediately look it up! (Yay for dual screens! Haha) I've also read some of the books, including the Sunwell Trilogy.) She is naive and blissfully ignorant to some of the bigger dangers looming in the world, but her heart is pure and definitely in the right place. Name: Estellisa Age: 24 Race: Blood Elf Height: 5'2" Build: Lean, Athletic Profession: Holy Paladin, Level 71 Personality: Naive, Innocent, Sunny Disposition Background: Estellisa is an orphan. The only family she has ever known were the other children sheltered with her at a small orphanage in Eversong Woods. Even at a very young age she was gifted with the ability to use the powers of Light. She did not need to manipulate or force the powers - they came to her as naturally as breathing air. Eventually her abilities were discovered and she was swept up by the Blood Knights to begin training. Tried and tested, her powers were as strong as some of the well seasoned Knights. Seeing the great potential, she was forced train vigorously. The Blood Knights attempted to bend and twist her to their own will, much as they had done with the Naaru. When the time came, she ran away and set out to forge a destiny of her own choosing. She faced countless trials, meeting just as many failures. When all hope seemed lost, the kindness of a stranger bolstered her strength The stranger who had given her new hope, a stony but kind Rogue, was the only friend she had had since leaving the orphanage. He kept a safe distance and watched her grow. Rumors of a new threat from the North grew greater and darker. When Arthas’ plague began to ravage the cities, the Rogue came to Estel and informed her he was leaving - venturing North to aide in the fight against the Lich King. Estel begged him to let her go too, but at the time she was not strong enough. He left her in tears, promising to return victorious. Estel vowed to follow after him. She redoubled her efforts - took up odd jobs helping those in need, defending those too weak to fight on their own. Her powers soared, fueled by a sense of purpose and a fiery determination. The time has finally come - Estelle stands strong, a seasoned warrior and devout healer - Holy Paladin Estellisa. As innocent and naïve as she can be, she is no fool to think she can venture into the harsh North alone. She is seeking out new friends and allies to stand beside on this new warfront. To defeat Arthas and his armies of undead - and to find the dear friend lost so long ago. Thank you again for your time.

Mel's pretty much said it all. We take any and all levels, so long as you RP a Light follower, be they a new/prospective convert or a long-time believer. Your bio is good, and I like the character concept. Keep brushing up on your lore, and you'll do fine. =) Do you know much about the tenets of the Holy Light or the state of Quel'Thalas and Lordaeron during WoW's time period?
Look either myself or Liannah(Trinea's new main) up whenever you're in game. =) We'd be glad to work you in. An in-character interview is our only requirement, so you should be fine. If you're new to roleplay, don't worry about it. You already show promise, and you won't be the first person who was new to it that we've taken in. I don't think there's much doubt that you'll make it in just fine, so I'd like to say: welcome aboard!

Feel free to post up your character bio thingie in our character intro section. I'm still not sure if I'll be able to get in-game today, what with it being the hubby's day off, but like I said... just keep harassing Ish until he gives you your interview! XD
